Issue: How can I verify that my Member and Office records are communicating properly with NRDS?

MEMBER AND OFFICE CDB QUERY FORMS

Resolve Record Errors **NOTE** this section is for local associations and state associations that are POE for any local associations.

Here are the steps you should follow to resolve member record errors. You can follow the same steps to resolve office record errors. *NOTE* these steps are referring to the newest version of Rapattoni Magic software, version 10.

  1. Navigate to the Member Query Form

    Managers -> Data Exchange -> CDB -> Member CDB Query Form or Office CDB Query Form

  1. Select a record in the table.

    View the error message shown in red text.

  2. Press F5 to zoom in on the record.

    Repair the record so that it conforms to the NRDS rule shown in the error message.

  3. To view all records (errors and records that processed) click the “All” radio button option. You can range search to find a specific member or office.

Send the Record back to NRDS

Once you have resolved the error, you can send the record back to NRDS immediately by clicking the Push to CDB button. You can also wait for the next batch process to run; this occurs every 10 minutes and will send the record back to NRDS for you.

Monitor Daily

If you monitor your CDB Query forms (both Member and Office) and repair records that cause errors, your data transfers will have fewer errors in the future.

Resolve Record Errors **NOTE** this section is for state associations only.

Magic features a Member CDB Download Query Form and an Office CDB Download Query Form. These forms show a list of records that have been rejected by Magic while attempting to download from NRDS. You should monitor these forms daily and resolve the errors associated with the records.

Here are the steps you should follow to resolve member record errors. You can follow the same steps to resolve office record errors. *NOTE* these steps are referring to the newest version of Rapattoni Magic software, version 10.

  1. Navigate to the Member CDB Download Query Form/Office CDB Download Query Form

Managers -> Data Exchange -> CDB -> Member CDB Download Query Form or Office CDB Download Query Form



The Office CDB Download Query Form also opens showing errors only. If you have errors, you will see offices listed and the errors will be displayed in the “Error from Sync Attempt” box. Fix the error and then click the Get from CDB button. You can also click the “All” radio button option and choose a download date range to view changes downloaded to your database from NRDS.

If you monitor your CDB Download forms (both Member and Office) and repair records that cause errors, your data transfers will have fewer errors in the future.
