Fresno Association of Realtors® chooses Rapattoni Secure Logon with Single Sign-On

SIMI VALLEY, Calif., February 1, 2007 – Rapattoni Corporation today announced that the Fresno Association of Realtors®, whose MLS serves more than 4,500 real estate agents in Fresno, California, has decided to implement the Rapattoni Secure Logon authentication service with Single Sign-On (SSO). The company currently provides association management software, Internet Member Services (IMS), and the Rapattoni MLS multiple listing system to the Fresno Association.

The Rapattoni Secure Logon service increases data security by ensuring that only authorized users can access the MLS. During logon, users must provide “two-factor authentication” — their ID and password (something they know), and the code displayed on their security token at that moment (something they have). The combination of the user’s password and the correct tokencode provides a much more reliable level of user authentication than reusable passwords alone. Since each token is associated with a specific user, it eliminates the potential for account sharing and ID theft, and ensures that only authorized users can enter the MLS site.

Fresno’s members will have the added convenience of SSO. Once members have logged on to the MLS, they will be able to access the association’s Internet Member Services site and other authorized sites securely — without needing a separate logon. Users will be able to move freely between the MLS and IMS sites, accessing services such as paying dues, registering for a class or event, or other, directly from the MLS. SSO capability is included at no charge in all of Rapattoni’s Internet-based products.
