Midlands MLS to install Rapattoni Secure Logon
SIMI VALLEY, Calif., March 28, 2007 – Rapattoni Corporation today announced that the Midlands MLS, serving approximately 1,000 real estate professionals in Lincoln, Nebraska, has decided to implement the Rapattoni Secure Logon authentication service with Single Sign-On (SSO). Midlands MLS is operated by the Realtors® Association of Lincoln. The association, a Rapattoni customer since 1991, currently utilizes Rapattoni's association management software as well as the Rapattoni MLS multiple listing system.

The Rapattoni Secure Logon service increases data security by ensuring that only authorized users can access the MLS. During logon, users must provide "two-factor authentication" — their ID and password (something they know), and the code displayed on their security token at that moment (something they have). The combination of the user's password and the correct tokencode provides a much more reliable level of user authentication than reusable passwords alone. Since each token is associated with a specific user, it eliminates the potential for account sharing and ID theft, and ensures that only authorized users can enter the MLS site.
Rapattoni will provide a complete service package to the Midlands MLS: delivery, training, and customer support from a single, unified call center. Implementation and token distribution are scheduled to begin in July.
