Andy Rapattoni nominated for prestigious security industry award

SIMI VALLEY, Calif., September 12, 2007 – Rapattoni Corporation announced today that President/CEO Andy Rapattoni has been nominated for the Information Security Executive (ISE) of the Year West Award. The ISE Award programs provide both regional and national recognition for security officers and executives for their achievements and excellence in managing risk management, data asset protection and network security systems.

Rapattoni Corporation has also been nominated for the Identity Deployment of the Year (IDDY) Award. The IDDY Award, now in its second year, recognizes identity-based applications built using Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) technology.

Both award nominations reflect Rapattoni Corporation's commitment to Single Sign-On (SSO). The company offers implementation of SSO with all of its Internet-based programs at no additional cost to its customers. This feature allows MLS and association members to log on one time — using their user ID and password, and optionally a stronger token-based authentication — and then be able to access any other authorized website without having to log on separately.

Rapattoni's SSO feature utilizes security industry standards, and is compatible with most commercial versions of SAML. This technology allows the customer to establish "trust" relationships with other complying vendors, and give its members the convenience of moving freely between websites.
